If people were to hate Pokemon, it would be because it's a world of jackasses and sore losers. I mean, battling everyone who has a Pokemon just to prove you're better. I think that's the objective of the game and the story. No wonder these people don't go to proms.

If people were to like the series, it would be because of the battles and the variety of these sometimes-fascinating creatures.
